We took the ferry to Sopot and explored the town for a few hours. We took a walk along the boardwalk and explored the main street which is called Monte Cassino Street. I thought the ferry ride would be more interesting than it was. The ferry path through Gdansk is long and mostly industrial since the port is very busy with ship building and various imports/exports of many types of goods. It is also the oldest and largest Polish seaport.
