Today we visited Marseilles’s Old Port again. We walked over to Fort Saint-Nicolas which was built in the 17th century. It served not only to guard the port, but also to ensure that there were no uprisings against the king. Many of the guns pointed toward the town, rather than out to sea. Very nice views of the port.

We also visited Palais Longchamp and the Longchamp Park. The fountain is one of the most impressive that we have seen.
