We took the train to Kobe today. We walked through Chinatown and then walked to the Kobe harbor. We took a ride on the Ferris wheel, walked through Meriken Park and visited Earthquake Memorial Park. They had a terrible 6.9 earthquake in 1995 that killed more than 6,400 people.

At the harbor I visited the ladies restroom. I had a choice between a Western toilet or a Japanese toilet. I have know idea how the Japanese utilize this style of toilet.

Japan also has a lot of vending machines in the cities we have visited. They sell drinks, candy, cigarettes, soup, hot food items, coffee, tea, etc.
