Huelva, Spain

When we arrived at our hotel in Huelva, we learned that the power was out. We originally thought it was just the hotel, but we soon learned that all of Portugal, Spain and parts of France were all without power.  We were very lucky as our hotel had a back up generator. Our time in Huelva was a bit odd as everything closed until the power came back on. The following day we were scheduled to leave by train and instead we were loaded on a bus. The trains were not running at all.

Huelva is the location where Christopher Columbus set sail for the New World in 1492.
