Crater Lake National Park, OR
It was a really nice day to drive to Crater Lake National Park. We just took a stroll along the rim trail and enjoyed the views of the lake. Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States and the ninth deepest in the world. Because there are no rivers or streams flowing into or out of the lake, sediment is minimal. This purity, combined with extreme depth, absorbs longer wavelengths of light and reflects a deep violet-blue hue.
