Our stay in Newcastle was brief, yet the city’s industrial ambiance and bustling port left a lasting impression. Renowned as the world’s premier coal-exporting hub, it shipped an impressive 143 million tonnes in 2022 alone.

We started our day at  Nobbys Head and walked along the Breakwall where the famous Nobby Lighthouse is located. We also walked along the Anzac Memorial Walkway and enjoyed great views of the beautiful coastline. We stopped by Strzelecki Lookout and enjoyed a nice view of the Bogey Hole which is a small ocean bath that was built by the convicts in the early 1800’s.
